BookTKeyah @TKeyah.com
In grade school, T'Keyah Crystal Keymáh sang with her school choir and did shows in her grandparents' living room.  In high school, she began modeling, performing mime, and starring in self-produced variety shows open to the public. Keymáh earned a B.S. in Theater at Florida A&M University where she performed with the university's company, Orchesis, a student run dance group, and in seven stage shows including her first solo work, An Evening with Ntozake Shange. After college, she modeled, performed with the Najwa Dance Corps, the Bill Cody Dancers, Chocolate Chips Children's Theatre Company, Singsation, Wavelength Improvisational Comedy Troupe, Call to Action Touring Company, and in stage shows at ETA, The Goodman, The Court, Light Opera Works, and The Civic Opera House.  Later, her solo show, Some of My Best Friends, won NAACP Theater Awards for Best Actress and Best Play and an AUDELCO award nomination for Best Solo Performance.  Altogether, she has performed in more than fifty stage productions including her own, T’Keyah Live!... Mostly: A True Variety Show, Don't Get Me Started, and Sellout!?!, and has also enjoyed small roles in a dozen films.  She is best known, however, for her work as a series regular in several TV shows including In Living Color, and Cosby.  She's also created dozens of voices for animated projects including the first Black female superhero, Bumblebee, on the original Teen Titans. Her many guest starring roles include hosting Soul Train twice, and, most recently, reviving her role as Tonya Baxter for Raven's Home..  She is currently quite proud of her own new media project, The Cool Crystal Show (www.Keymah.com).
